the holidays, long gone..

i decided tt i should update my blog before it gets mouldy. and besides, how often can i scoot off early nowadays rite? haha.

these are some seriously old old photos.. the photo below is one showing ian's white hair. with the portion dyed brown at the end. haha. i spotted it while we were eating at vivocity one day.. and poor him, he's getting old.. :p

speaking of vivocity, i actually caught the movie, Meet the Robinsons IN 3D. damn, it was a bad mistake.. the 3D was all contorted. the background screaming at you to look at it, throwing your attention away from the main characters. further more, it was highly strenuous just to watch the movie.. hmmmm, i know aud and yl wanted to kidnap the glasses, but the lady at the entrance told us we could keep them. poor them, they missed out on the thrill to try to steal them.

i also caught, the reaping on another day.. which i think is a rather crappy movie.. it is basically, unbelievable. yup.. so, no i dun like it.

shooter was a far better movie IMO. it was well paced, and it was exciting, though the plot was rather predictable.. i guess perhaps, a few tweaks in the plot would have made it a much better movie than the thriller and action flick it is now.

also managed to meet up with wp, claire and nick for some dinner and dessert as well. we were at clarke quay.. and i must say, it is a really nice place now! :) ate at cafe iguana.. the food was good, until i ate the jalapeños peppers.. :X (yes, i got the spelling rite thanks to the spellcheck on firefox.. :p) after which, i had to glup down about 5 glasses of water, making me so bloated.. well, whatever. at least i know what they taste like now.. :p





after which, we took a long stroll, peering into the various restaurants, and evaluating if we'd eat there in the future. oh, the aurum looks really interesting.. its the one tt looks like a surgical place.. anyone game to go there? ;) dessert at nectarie was ok, but a lil pricey i felt. but whatever.. its the company tt matters.. :)

rest of the week, i managed, tennis tennis tennis, many late night outs with suppers and what nots, which explained my lack of sleep, and thus, my illness now.. boo. and also settlers, which was totally clutzy - we broke 2 glasses, and split a drink over a game. tt is just.. KLUTZY. i felt so embarrassed, but well, tt's cuz i broke a glass too.. :o haha

now its wake up sooo early everyday.. but well, it is generally rather fun.. :) it is kinda refreshing to be up and walking around the hospital and in general, the independence is good..

well, next update will be on nick's bday.. :)

The Blue Lobster, Vansh and other sights.

finally its sunday and i've time to jot down a post.. :)

well, this was pre exams.. on a nite out! had dinner at this Indian restaurant called Vansh, which is at the Indoor Stadium.. its got great decor and a nice ambience, as well as good food.. :)

after dinner, we headed to Raffles City cuz we wanted to have drinks at Cityscape, which is a bar at the top of Swisshotel. great view, but too bad we didn't really manage to get window seats.. :( oh wells, next time i guess.. haha. it was a long wait, so mich and fish decided to pig out on Minnoti's (sp??) b4 tt.. they bought half priced desserts, which look, rather yummy. but there weren't any seats in the restaurant, so mich had to unglamly eat her food out of the box cuz it was melting or sth.. :X look at fish's expression.. haha!

this was us squashed into a corner of city scape.. we got a larger space after a while :)


hehe, then fast forward to after exams! woohoo.. yay exams are over!! (k tt was lame)

went orchard for expensive lunch + jalan jalan. haha.. happened to meet many med peeps over at sun with moon, and we all settled down and made converstation.. ;)

weili, diane, me, aud and ian then went bowling.. heh, was quite fun, but i positively suck now.. haven't played in ages!! aud is the pro-est la. got a high high score, even while wearing stockings! then still bluff us b4 tt say she sucks.. i bet trying to let us put our guard down.. :p after tt bowling session, met up with zhimin, velda and amanda for a ktv session. wow, amanda can really sing.. its damn hilarious when she sang My Humps and Toxic and Cartoon Heroes.. she totally sounds like the singer.. and her facial expressions are just priceless! LOL.. really LOL-ed so much tt day..

then on fri, went for supper with aaron and kat.. haha, was a rather impromptu thing after i watched them play tennis with my coach.. and i finally got a picture of the herbie looking like car at my condo as i was walking to aaron's car.. hehe. and surprise! no photos with aaron or kat.. how abnormal :p

haha, n loads of tennis these few days... lots of fun... :p fri was a bit of a disaster though.. rain stop rain stop.. so irritating.. and the rain was so heavy tt on the road, there was a hilarious sight of pple having their slippers being flushed away by the water on the ground. and they then had to chase after the slippers for like 50m.. haha!

then sat had a marathon match w yuan.. 7-6(9) 2-6 6-2 win for me! haha! been a long time since i posted a score here, but this was quite an exciting one, so i shall post the scoreline.. ;) also visited cm at his house and went out for dinner. went to square 2 at novena.. some new shopping center.. its so cramped and tiny though.. hmmm.

sun, went shopping w nick.. and blew my cash reserves.. wah lao.. i seriously bought way too many things.. 2 ties, a belt and 2 shirts (non clinical ones!)!! oh no.. boohoo. haha. and dinner with my family at Blue Lobster Seafood Restaurant.. haha.. its a small and quaint place with very friendly waiters.. and a great ambiance to go along. the food was good too.. fresh ingredients and v tasty, though it was v rich i must say..

starter: scallop and prawns.. had some escargoes too.. too bad they didn't have foie gras today.. haha

this was my warm chocolate fondant.. i love chocolate fondants.. all the warm chocolate oozing out of the cake as you take it all in with cold vanilla ice cream.. :D


yay... looking forward to another week of hols next week! well deserved indeed.. :) have fun guys!

aaron turns 21. everyone is old.

firstly, strange person/pple tagging on my tagboard, stop it. if u really love ian, tell it to him, dun need to tag here la. tsktsk. and strange pple impersonating me on aud's blog, stop it too.

ah ha.. back to the issue. the pix not in order! too lazy to arrange.. this was at aaron's bday recently at the cricket club! damn, i just remembered that i forgot to take the pix of the sign at the entrance that tells us where the party is at.. LOL! hmmm, so yeah, it was a rather cozy setting, nicely decorated with silver and blue ballons, colors i like! :) oh and there was this man that looked like LKY.. and for a moment, i thot it was him. actually, for many moments.. haha. i learnt tt he was aaron's v old uncle though.

ok.. the food was good, though the service was not so good. lousy waiters.. haha. esp love the crayfish and prawns.. and the dessert too! we bought aaron a tennis racket, and i hope he likes it.. still awaiting your challenge.. ;) yup, here's a pix of hs and i..

yup, so tt concludes my v insubstantial post! happy mugging and doing whatever.

Fearless Serena

i do have things to write about, except tt i've been too lazy to and a little busy as well. been following livescores for Miami (Sony Ericsson Open).. haha, isn't it just such a coincidence, there's always some big tournament going on near the exams.. :P but yeah, so pleased Serena has won her 4th title here, and beating the world's no 1, 2 and 8 while at it too.. :) the finals was so nerve wrecking man.. she was getting thrashed handily by her petite opponent, Justine Henin, 6-0 in the first set.. haha, embarrassing indeed. but she started fighting back in the second set, never giving up. She was down 0-6 4-5 and Justine had 2 match points being up 40-15 in that game, but Serena played 2 great points, and broke Justine. the rest was history as she raced to a 7-5 6-3 match after tt. it was a great match.. :) been waiting for the 2 great players to play for 4 years, and it finally materialize, and didn't disappoint.. hope more more such matches, witht he same winner.. ;) too bad nadal and roger crashed out on the men's side, or it'd have been an equally great final.. :)
